Isn’t it funny how until you need to use something there is a tendency to let it slide. Like for example today I brushed off the dust of my Writers Resume man was I horrified at how out dated it was. Considering I want to apply for a freelance writing job, this was not a good thing, but moving right along. The good news about all of this is the fact that I can now update it, refresh it and all going to plan get another freelancing assignment.
As much as I want to be able to concentrate on my personal projects, that’s not realistic … especially as at this stage they aren’t bringing in that much money… food and a roof over my head is a very important part of my life. Hence why I went looking for my resume, so that I could update it and give it a fresh look. Which in turn will supplement my income until a time in which I can afford to live off the profits form my personal projects.
This brings me around to other things in my life that are important. My boys and my own happiness are very important to me. Therefore I have to priorities the rest of my daily tasks to highlight this. But how do you do this?
When I write my daily to-do-list I ask myself what I want to achieve that day and how it is going to benefit my priorities. There are days where I get it all done, and then there are other days that the tasks keep coming and the list gets longer. When this happens you may need to look at your task list and re-prioriteis.
